day 353

A Day at the Museum.
To say that I am loving Cordin's new teachers is an understatement!! Instead of meaning-less busy work that takes forever only to get an "F" on it (I"m venting a bit) he now has a fabulous teacher that allows kids to think, create, figure-out, etc!! (an added bonus...she's a quadriplegic...allowing more learning and understanding) Cordin got to choose an Egyptian artifact to study, make a replica (he had help), then present it (with a speech) to parents that came to visit.

(on a side note...I had to go toe-to-toe with Cord's old teacher, the principal, and the guidance counselor a few weeks ago to get him moved from the 2 classes he had with "yucky teacher". Totally uncomfortable and scary...but they saw things my way in the end and switched his classes. He is now thriving and his teacher commented to me that Cordin is a hard worker and a joy to have in class. Those are the comments I'm used to hearing about him. Not the names that the "other" teacher used!!)
