While saying good-bye to my Grandpa, a need for a knife (or something) arose. Gavin pulls out his multi-use pocket knife and my grandpa pulls out of his pocket the same tool...only bigger. They held out their hands the same way...tool in palm...to show their stuff. An 8-year-old hand with a miniature tool used for who-knows-what. And an 83-year-old-hand with a man sized tool that I wish could talk about the ways it's been used.
This was "one of those" moments that will never be forgotten.

I enjoyed that little scene, too. Actually, I think that Big Papa liked it a lot, as well.
I am tearing up just thinking about that moment. So endearing. Life really doesn't get better than that.
